This August 15th is the premiere of the documentary "Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers". A look at the reality of what the Lakers have been over the years, mainly since Dr. Jerry Buss took over the team in 1979.

The series is expected to feature several key players in the team's history giving their testimonials about their years as Lakers. The Legacy' captures the remarkable rise and unprecedented success of one of the most dominant and iconic sports franchises in professional sports, through exclusive access to the Buss family including the current owner of the Los Angeles Lakers Jeanie Buss.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar is one of the greatest players to not only play for the Lakers but to play basketball in the history of the sport. And it was he who helped write the screenplay for "Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers". The historic Los Angeles Lakers center said the project took him to places in his past that he had never been before.

"I was surprised that it also gave me some fresh insights into that time that even I hadn't thought about before. While enjoying watching one of the best teams in the history of the NBA find their mojo as a team together, I also realized that Dr. Jerry Buss and I were on parallel journeys at the same time." Kareem stated.

Next Monday, August 15, the docuseries Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers" directed by Antoine Fuqua. The documentary features players such as Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, and the late Kobe Bryant, among others. This production seeks to provide a detailed account of the rise and success of one of the most iconic sports franchises in the world.
