The LA Lakers gave a class on how to get things done in the free agency market; now it's the time to prove it the next season

After the success the Lakers had thanks to GM Rob Pelinka's moves in the past trade deadline for the 2022-23 season, the purple and gold owner Jeanie Buss, LeBron James, and the fans now have full trust in the front office, making the right moves this offseason.

And so far, Pelinka hasn't disappointed, as the team's roster seems to have great depth. Instead of going for big names with massive salaries, as a mistake the team made with Russell Westbrook in the past, the team has opted to keep the core and make the necessary adjustments without losing their cap space.

After two days of the free agency market, it seems that the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka is teaching a lesson on how it's done to the Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors, as both teams lost vital rotation players while the purple and gold retained their core, getting younger, bigger and more athletic.

The following season will be interesting to see which West Conference team does better after each squad's moves in the offseason. So far, the Lakers have won the free agency market with the moves made so far.

The Lakers should get Lonnie Walker back for another season

One of the remaining question marks for the Lakers is what they will do about the SG Lonnie Walker; after all, Lonnie helped the team significantly in the postseason, especially against the Warriors. LA should offer him a deal of around 8 million per year.
