The NBA is trying a new In-Season tournament this next year, and the Lakers will want to get the trophy to add it to their winning history, now we know the team's schedule.
While is an experiment, the In-Season tournament opens up the opportunity for NBA teams to get another title, while is not on the same level as the league's championship title, it will be interesting to see how seriously the teams take this new opportunity of winning a cup.
With information by ESPN's Dave McMenamin, the Lakers’ in-season tournament group play schedule (including MEM, POR, PHX, and UTA) will begin in PHX on 11/10, according to the schedule release.
The Lakers will be facing the Suns on the road on November 10 at 8:00 pm PT. On Tuesday, November 14 will be playing the Grizzlies at home at 7:30 pm PT. The next game will be on Friday, November 17th at Portland at 7:00 pm PT and to close the group the last game will be on Tuesday, November 21st at home vs. Utah at 7:00 PM PT.
It's not only a new tournament for more games played, but they will count for their standings and record. The Lakers will be looking to win both tournaments and prove the franchise's greatness.
