The Los Angeles Lakers had a great summer building their roster for the next season, as not only the signings in the free agency market were on point, but their 2023 NBA Draft moves also were fruitful.

At the 2023 NBA Draft, GM Rob Pelinka was selected by using LA's two picks, Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis. But the team didn't stop there, as they also signed three players with two-way contracts.

D'Moi Hodge was one of them, the other two were Colin Castleton and most recently Alex Fudge. But Hodge is doing no one has done before, at least, no one from the British Virgin Islands.

The Lakers rookie Hodge is the first player from the British Virgin Islands that will be playing in the NBA, because of that, the rookie guard was received like a hero on his way back home and the official Twitter account from the Lakers shared a video of it.

D'Moi Hodge showed some promising talent at the Summer League

The young guard was one of the standouts in this Summer League for the Lakers, and the team is glad to have them and continues to see his growth with the squad.
