The Los Angeles Lakers have done another movement to their roster and included a surprise

The Los Angeles Lakers have made another move today, one that has surprised the fans that are getting impatient with the team's pursuit to add a center to their roster.

This time, GM Rob Pelinka has waived Cole Swider, the forward known to be a sharpshooter but nothing else, it seems that the patience was over with him after the Summer League and left a spot available for another player to take the two-way contract.

Well, Swider's empty spot was quickly used by the Lakers front office that have officially announced they have signed Alex Fudge to a two-way contract.

Fudge had a ten-day contract with the Lakers, it seems that he was able to earn a spot in the roster, and now Swider will become a free agent and be available for another team to sign.

The Lakers still need to find a backup center

One of the main strategies for the next season is to replicate what worked for them in the 2020 championship bubble, having two bigs. In 2020 the Lakers had Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee, for the next season they have Anthony Davis and Jaxson Hayes but are looking to add another player, they still haven't decided on who to sign. Fans are getting impatient on that front.
