The Los Angeles Lakers have been eyeing a "smaller" trade move, as Anthony Davis continues to be out even when he is hopefully set to return in about two weeks.
But it also is unknown how good AD's return will be and if he will enter into game mode rhythm soon. So the front office led by GM Rob Pelinka is thinking of making a trade that doesn't compromise the team's most valuable assets.
Instead, the Lakers are having on sight a trade with the New York Nicks. The work that could be on the table has the purple and gold giving the guard Kendrick Nunn who has increased his worth by his last performances, and a 2023 second-round pick.
The Lakers would be getting the now long-rumored Cam Redish, the SF that the Lakers have long wanted to sign, as they hope to bring all the promised talent of the 23-year-old player.
The Lakers could also propose a trade to get Cam Reddish plus Obi Toppin and give Kendrick Nunn, Damian Jones, Juan Toscano-Anderson, and a protected 2027 first-round pick.
