The Los Angeles Lakes want to win another NBA championship title, and for that, they want to do everything they can to have their team ready

The 2022-23 season was a rollercoaster ride for the LA Lakers team, from having to deal with Russell Westbrook, coming out of a disastrous season, signing a first-time head coach, and signing subpar players being the "biggest star," one being Patrick Beverley, and starting the campaign with a 2-10 record, things seemed to fail.

But everything changed thanks to the players who changed their minds, especially the new team's additions after the trade deadline moves by GM Rob Pelinka.

The team was able to make it into the WCF but failed to accomplish the ultimate goal, and because of that, Pelinka and Ham want to have ready their team now to build the right culture and create chemistry from day one, and for that, they have just made an announcement.

The Lakers have added a 2023-24 preseason game in Anaheim against Sacramento on Oct. 11. While it can be seen as just another game, this will be helpful for coach Ham to see how all his players are doing, including the rookies and to get them ready for next season to avoid a similar beginning like the one they had the previous campaign.

The Lakers have upgraded their roster from the last season

Some players, Dennis Schröder, Lonnie Walker, Mo Bamba, Malik Beasley, Wenyen Gabriel, Shaquille Harrison, and Tristan Thompson, left the team. So far, the Lakers have added Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayles, and Taurean Prince and re-signed Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and D'Angelo Russell. Also, they have new rookies: Jalen Hood-Schifino, Maxwell Lewis, Colin Castleton, and D'Moi Hodge.
