The rookie with less buzz and cheaper, that is better than Patrick Beverley

The Lakers didn't have a significant trade this season, and one of the rookies is the better offseason acquisition for the team over Pat Bev

The Los Angeles Lakers needed shooters for the season, and Patrick Beverley wasn't the solution for that need, as coach Darvin Ham wanted to focus on defense, but Bev hasn't solved that need.

Instead, the rookie Matt Ryan has helped the team more thanks to his 3-point shooting, which allowed the Lakers to have their second win of the season. And now that Pat Bev has a Non-COVID illness, the team has looked better without him.

More Lakers news:

Ryan's salary for this year is about a million dollars, while Pat Bev is getting 13 million, and so far, Ryan has been the better player, helping the team win games, while Bev has been more talk than action.

Bev could also be in problems once Dennis Schröder makes a return to the team when he fully recovers. Between Schröder and Ryan could be making Pat Bev be traded later in the season.

Patrick Beverley is in Los Angeles to have fun and not to win

Since Pat Bev arrived in Los Angeles, in his return to the city, he has enjoyed what it means to be a Lakers player, and it is all about the perks and fun but not the winning. He said he wasn't worried about the Lakers' record this season; he was having the time of his life.
