The season could be over, the Lakers must win tonight in their rematch vs. the Bulls

If the Lakers want to indeed contend for the championship this season, they need to win tonight; there is no other way around it. Conversely, a loss will show that the team isn't a contender.

A purple and gold win tonight would move them up to the 8th spot in the Western Conference. But a loss combined with Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks winning would drop them to 11th.

A loss from the Lakers combined with one of OKC or Dallas winning drops the team to the 10th seed. There are only seven games to go; tonight is a big night for the team.

With these scenarios, if the Lakers get the loss very well could be saying goodbye to this season as there will be hard to get something positive of not being able to even stay in the Play-In zone.

An essential thing at night is that the Lakers have to WIN over the Bulls. But after that, the fans should be rooting for the Mavs to lose to the 76ers, the Clippers to lose to Grizzlies, Thunder to lose to Pistons, Jazz to lose to the Spurs, and the Wolves to lose to the Suns
