The Lakes may be losing after the first half, but there is a Lakers player who has pleasantly surprised the fans

At the end of the first quarter, the Cleveland Cavaliers got the lead over the Los Angeles Lakers as they won it 40-35 after the purple and gold dominated most of it.

The biggest surprise so far is that with a shorthanded team, Max Christie got to start his second game in the season and even ended the first quarter scoring 7 points the most of every Lakers star so far, even over LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

All 7 Lakers who have played have an FG and we shot 56.5%...but Cleveland shot 55.6% themselves, plus 6 turnovers and 4 offensive rebounds allowed (all by Jarrett Allen) doesn't help.

So far, Max Christie has done a very good job on Garland, as he has been excellent so far even giving a great pass to Jaxson Hayes for an easy layup.

The Lakers have looked fine but their defensive game has hurt them

The Los Angeles Lakers have significant absences, still, they are playing a good game against the Cavs despite their current mistakes in their defensive game. Max Christie is having a good night while Christian Wood is starting to do the same.
