The Lakers have seen in their franchise history some of the best players the NBA has had, so is not an easy task to have a top ten with the best purple and gold players of all time.
The website The Comeback has released their newest ranks on the Lakers' 10 best players that star with the center George Mikan, known as "Mr. Basketball." Mikan played for the Minneapolis Lakers and is considered one of the pioneers of the modern NBA.
On the 9th spot is the small forward Elgin Baylor, at number eight, the most dominant big in the sport, Shaquille O'Neal is ranked. The forward James Worthy is seen as the seventh-best Laker of all time. The NBA logo silhouette himself, Jerry West, is the point guard who is situated in the No. 6 spot.
Wilt Chamberlin is the No. 5th best Lakers player according to the comeback while at No. 4th the current purple and gold superstar LeBron James has its place inside LA's franchise history.
The captain of the showtime era Lakers legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the number 3 best Laker while the second spot goes for Kobe Bryant, which is probably going to upset most of the purple and gold fans and create controversy by leaving the great PG Magic Johnson as the best Lakers players of all time.
