The Los Angeles Lakers took a sour loss against the San Antonio Spurs which is making the organization reflect on where things are going

Los Angeles Lakers suffered a hurtful loss against the San Antonio Spurs that gave many lessons to the team, including sending them down to the 8th seed.

On Wednesday night, the LA Lakers beat San Antonio with Anthony Davis on the court but LeBron James missed it, while on Friday night the Spurs beat the purple and gold with LeBron on the court but AD off it.

LeBron is the engine of our offense, AD is the engine of our defense, as simple as that. Without those two Lakers engines, the team just isn't able to work so the front office needs to bring at least one more player that can make a difference.

This Friday night the team was shorthanded without three of the five regular starters, Cam Reddish, Anthony Davis, and D'Angelo Russell. When Anthony Davis isn't playing, the Lakers need to find another center on the market before the trade deadline. Not having a physical rim protector really makes things difficult if Anthony Davis is out.

LeBron James thinks the team's absences have hurt them

"Our team is not built to have three starters out. But you give credit where credit is due, San Antonio played great tonight. They shot the ball extremely well.  they attacked us, and we were just limited with bodies," said LeBron James.
