The four-game winning streak for the Los Angeles Lakers is over on the team's first game of the back-to-back they have on the road with tonight's loss to the Dallas Mavericks and tomorrow their match vs. the San Antonio Spurs.

The Los Angeles Lakers had everything on their side to take the win, as they had rested after winning on Saturday night at the In-Season Tournament by beating the Indiana Pacers, had the motivation of that championship win, and Dallas missing one of their best players as Kyrie Irving was out, still, the team couldn't take the win home.

A valiant effort from the Lakers, but too many lapses defensively and some hot shooting from Dante Exum equals a loss for LA. Tough one to lose after winning the IST.

LA lost 127-125 but coach Ham wasn't able to figure out how to stop Luka Doncic and a couple of mistakes from the Lakers players and some impressive 3-point shooting from Dallas ended things for the Mavs at their home.

The Lakers are still on the winning side with their record

After the loss to the Mavs, the Lakers still have a winning record as they are 14-10, but tomorrow night should take the win to keep climbing on the Western Conference seeds to lock a spot for the 2024 playoffs.
