The Los Angeles Lakers are finally on the right path as they were at one point in the season 2-10 and now are 7-11, getting closer to turning things around, and with new hope, the Lakers locker room leaders want a couple of players to be added to be contenders.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin has reported, "Leaders share a belief in the Lakers' locker room, sources said, that the team is only a couple of players away from turning this group into a legitimate contender. But acquiring the right players could take multiple trades."

With this report, now the questions go to, which current Lakers players will be traded, as the long-time rumored Russell Westbrook now seems like he won't be going away from Los Angeles.

But some players haven't performed as expected and could be the ones to be traded away. Those are Kendrick Nunn, who hasn't delivered, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones, and even Patrick Beverley, now that Schröder is back and doing great, could be gone.

The names are rumored to strengthen the Lakers' roster

Some words being linked with the Los Angeles franchise, besides Turner & Hield, are Duncan Robinson, now available for trade, and the Celtic's Rober Williams. But with the Lakers facing Indiana this Monday night, things could be changing soon.
