By James Brown
Both LeBron James' sons had been in the eye of the news lately as for the first time ever they play a basketball match together. Bronny and Bryce played with the California Basketball Club overseas marking the first time we see the James brothers in the same court. Bronny had a solid first game with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists. He went 4-for-4 from inside the arc and rim, but was 0-for-6 from distance.
As LeBron James' dream is to play at least one year in the NBA with his son Bronny before he retire, we all expect that the young player would bypass college and play professionally for one year before entering the 2024 NBA Draft. He can choose one of two options, either play in the G-League, like 2022 first-round pick Dyson Daniels, or he could’ve gone overseas like LaMelo Ball did before being taken third overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The LeBron James vs Michael Jordan GOAT debate is over?
This is the reason why LeBron James shouldn't extend with the Lakers
However new have lately shown that maybe LeBron James Jr. wants to play at a big-time college program for one or two years before committing to the NBA. If we decides to do this, there's no doubt he will have dozens of scholarship offers to choose from even if he’s not a once-in-a-generation type of player like his father was nearly 20 years ago. Bronny James is still a high graded high-school player nationwide, and it seems he already have some offers on the table.
According to Paul Biancardi, Bronny is being “pursued by the likes of UCLA, USC, Michigan, Ohio State and Oregon, among others.” of course, the most attractive of the offers might be Ohio State as it would bring him closer to his father in the way that LeBron started his career in Cleveland. According to 247Sports, Bronny James is the No. 43 player in the country, the No. 7 shooting guard, and the No. 12 player in the state of California.
Even at 38 years old, LeBron seems in an amazing physical shape. Not only that but he keeps playing at a high level, so much that he average 30.3 games per game last season. Lakers Fans hope that he can keep playing for a couple more years and that he can retire in Los Angeles, but with LeBron entering his last year in his contract and with no extension done, he might not be a Lakers for long. Even if his dream is to play with his son, he might not want to play with mediocre rosters for two or more years.
