The Los Angeles Lakers are a completely different team before and after Russell Westbrook this season. Of course, this doesn't mean that the Laker's terrible start has to do directly with Russ, but it was one of the factors as he didn't click with LeBron James and Anthony Davis's game style.

The team mindset was different than the one Westbrook had, as was made evident by a video of the locker room where coach Darvin Ham and LeBron James were giving a speech about getting greedy, and Russ had a different idea.

Russ said instead, "Win, lose, or draw just to have fun." In the end, Westbrook's stints with the Lakers didn't work out, and he was traded. Now that Westbrook is gone, the team turned things around in the season and is in round 2 of the playoffs.

In the post-game presser after the Lakers close out their first-round series vs. Memphis, Austin Reaves spoke about having fun, but in a different way than Russ once did: "You have fun with the game when the game provides you with fun."

Austin Reaves is playing the first playoffs of his NBA career
