Wednesday night at the Crypto.com Arena saw a new win for the Los Angeles Lakers, who are making a comeback in the league to turn things around, as they were with a 2-10 record and now are 8-12, even with a long road ahead of them, but now on the right track.
A lot of the Lakers' comeback has to do with two of their biggest stars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and with Russell Westbrook in a supporting role, but the big 3 has a new member, as Westbrook has moved out from it.
Austin Reaves has been demonstrating that he is a unique talent, and every time he has started a game, he scored big time. The Portland Trail Blazers were no exception, as the year two rookie scored 22 points, had five rebounds, and had three assists.
Reaves was the third-best Lakers of the night, just behind AD and LeBron, making the new Big 3. LeBron scored 31 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, while AD scored 27 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks.
The other young talent that gratefully surprises everybody is Lonnie Walker, but this time he had to sit out as he got a left foot soreness. The Lakers GM Rob Pelinka must sign a contract extension to Lonnie and Reaves; it would be a massive mistake to let them go.
