Despite the Los Angeles Lakers failing to accomplish the ultimate goal of winning it all in the last campaign, the 2022-23 season left us the fans a lot of good memories as the team was able to turn things around and we got to witness history in the making with LeBron James breaking the scoring record against OKC Thunder, and Thomas Bryant wanting, inadvertently to ruin it.

One of the most viral and hilarious images of the night LeBron James broke the all-time scoring record from the Lakers showtime era legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, was, now former Laker, Thomas Bryant asking for the ball in the play that James took the record-breaking shot.

The now NBA champ with the Nuggets and current Miami Heat player has finally gotten brutally honest and talked about that moment, and it happened that he was so locked in to get the win in the game that didn't even notice that was the breaking-record shot until later.

"I didn't even notice that was the shot tho, at the time, LeBron literally said 'I see you on the wing, get your ass on that post, like, dive' So I'm doing what he told me to do, then I look around and, right before he shot the ball, why everybody has their camera, oh sh!t!" Said Bryant in a recent episode of "Beyond the Buzzer."

New scoring record LeBron James will be pursuing this season

Not the record any player has, as LeBron James is the scoring leader of all time, but the Lakers superstar will be pursuing this season to reach the mark that no other NBA player has done before, making it to the 40,000-scored points.
