The Lakers signed Tristan Thompson with his experience in mind, as he arrived on the team just for the postseason run, and coach Ham didn't use him as he could have.
Now that a week has passed, and the Denver Nuggets are about to play the NBA finals, the size Center Tristan Thompson is showing coach Ham's mistake on how he could be used more and helped the team stop Nikola Jokic.
ESPN got the Lakers Center Tristan Thompson to bring his first experience guarding Jokic. Thompson gave some advice to the Miami Heat, and his experienced proved one thing, Ham could've used him more.
Thompson is a vet and had already played with LeBron James and brought some of his experience by "coaching" from his bench role, but on the court, he could've been more valuable as the Lakers were lacking size, and Thompson has it.
The main problem the Lakers had facing the Nuggets is that they played small; with Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura, and Tristan Thompson on the court, the team could've been able to stop Jokic and Denver and may have yet to be swept.
