It's no longer news that the Lakers have signed the PG Gabe Vincent, who played the last season for the Miami Heat and was able to help them to make it all the way into the NBA Finals, to then fell against the Denver Nuggets.
But now, after it has been official, the PG Gabe Vincent has opened up about what intrigued him to sign and play for the Lakers, as he rejected the offer the Lakers legend, now an executive with the Miami Heat Pat Riley's 24 million to stay in their team.
Vincent said, "They have size, athleticism, & leadership. I can bring defense & make my open shots while impacting winning with any group on the floor."
Gabe believes that the LA Lakers have a strong enough team, and with his help, he can win his first NBA championship title. Also, it isn't a secret that he considers LeBron James the best player in the league, so playing alongside him is also appealing.
At the moment, D'Angelo Russell remains the starter PG for the Lakers, but coach Ham has reportedly said he will wait until training camp to decide between Russell and Vincent, who will be his starting PG.
