'We're fighting every night,' said Troy Brown Jr on taking their goal seriously to make it to the playoffs

It seems that even when the LA Lakers had a step back on Friday night on the loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, it became a wake-up call and returned to play with intensity and got the win against the Golden State Warriors even with Stephen Curry returning to the court.

LeBron James is set to be out for two to three weeks, and in his place, Troy Brown Jr. has stepped up and become a starter in coach Darvin Ham's lineup.

After the win, Troy Brown Jr., who had the most playing time with 41 minutes of all Lakers players, spoke about the team's mindset and how they are fighting to get into the postseason.

"We know our position, so we're fighting every night to try and make the playoffs." Said Brown Jr., who scored 14 pts, eight rebs with Mike Trudell on yesterday's win over the Warriors.

The Lakers get a rematch against the Grizzlies this Tuesday

The last time the Lakers and the Grizzlies faced each other, the LA team lost, but this time both squads will face again without their main stars, as the purple and gold don't have LeBron James, and Memphis will not have Ja Morant.
