It seems that the Los Angeles Lakers PG Russell Westbrook had a lot on his mind to worry about and not on helping LeBron James break the scoring record, as he had a terrible performance with turnovers and terrible passing.
This made him beef with the coaching staff, first with Assistant coach Phil Handy and later with Head Coach Darvin Ham. Now the worst news for him and the reason for his attitude has been revealed.
According to information by former NBA player JJ Redick, he has revealed that the rumored Jazz-Westbrook trade is close to being done:
"I'm not breaking news here, but by the time we release this episode, it could be done, and that's the Russ to the Jazz for Conley. I've heard that that is getting close to being done," said Redick. This makes sense now why Westbrook needed to focus more on delivering a good game against his former team, the OKC Thunder.
If the reported deal happens, it could involve Jazz veteran point guard Mike Conley, two-way wing Malik Beasley, and defensive forward Jarred Vanderbilt. Still, it is also unclear what draft capital the Lakers would send away in a trade besides the PG Russell Westbrook.
