The third preseason game for the Lakers against the Minnesota Timberwolves had a young team trying to impress, only three players shined.

Los Angeles Lakers are 0-3 on their preseason, and while coach Darvin Ham said the results don't matter, the reality is that fans are unhappy with the losses.

The fourth preseason game will be necessary as the purple and gold will face their first rival in the opening match of the regular season against the Golden State Warriors. The starters are set to return, but what Ham needs to do to overcome the wrong results?

Thursday night, I saw the Lakers lineup filled with new faces, young talent, and some rookies looking to impress. Of course, the always-reliable Austin Reaves played well, but that is no longer a surprise. Also, he will have a significant role in the season. But three players were able to shine against the Timberwolves.

Thomas Bryant had 18 points and was one of the best. Also, the rookie Cole Swider scored 17 points. But one of the rookie players to have more protagonists was Scotty Pippen Jr., who had 14 points but was the team's leader.

The starters will be back against the Golden State Warriors.

Even though the next game is still preseason, the importance of the rival that the Lakers will be facing will set the tone for what could happen in the regular season opener. LeBron James and the company will be back to meet Stephen Curry's team. Juan Toscano-Anderson will be facing his former team and could be special if he recovers from Thursday night's injury.
