There are at least 25 Kobe Bryant murals across Los Angeles and a few for LeBron James. But now, the city also has a one-of-a-kind mural born from the excitement of the arrival of the first Los Angeles Lakers of Mexican descent.

The JTA mural is on the outdoor wall of the Mexican bakery Pan Dulce #2. It shows the Lakers player sporting a purple and gold jersey and a Mexican flag wrapped around his shoulders. In the background are Mexico City's Tenochtitlán pyramids and downtown Los Angeles.

More Lakers news:

"I went to the reveal of the mural. That was dope," Toscano-Anderson said recently. “I'm very appreciative of that. It's LA, man, the City of Champions. That was cool. I couldn't believe it, to be honest. I didn't have anything, nothing like that before. It was more than just the sports thing. It was about that community embracing me there."

JTA is the first player of Mexican descent to win an NBA championship

While Toscano-Anderson is the first player of Mexican descent to play for a Los Angeles NBA franchise, there have been several Mexican players in the NBA. And earlier this year, he also became the first player of Mexican descent to win an NBA championship, as he did earlier this year with the Golden State Warriors.
