The Los Angeles Lakers got to win their last game against the New Orleans Pelicans before the All-Star Weekend, primarily thanks to the return of their superstar LeBron James and the addition of the new players.
The trade deadline brought some significant changes to the roster. Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley, Damian Jones, Thomas Bryant, Kendrick Nunn, and Juan Toscano-Anderson were replaced with D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Devon Reed, Mike Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Mo Bamba.
The team has significantly improved, and after those signings, the team has a 2-1 record, but with the buyout market, another player could still be added, as there is still one spot available.
With Cleveland buying out Kevin Love, the name has been linked with the purple and gold, and in case GM Rob Pelinka goes for it, Love could bring to the team his perimeter shooting, veteran chops, and experience with LeBron James could come in handy.
The online Lakers fandom community hasn't hidden his disapproval of this possible trade, as they think the roster doesn't need him, as Love will be asking for playing minutes. He could be a better player around and would only bring his experience.
