The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the history-rich franchises in the NBA, and they have a long catalog of great players and stars that were part of the team; Jerry West is one of their most iconic legends.
West is so important to NBA history that the logo is his silhouette from when he was a player. He recently was in the Las Vegas NBA con when he had his take on the term that many use to describe some ferocious players in today's league: "dog."
Jerry West said, "The word 'dog' come up a lot... Well, I was a wolf. I used to eat dogs." Which caused the live crowd to cheer and laugh, but now LeBron has also reacted to it and pleasantly surprised the purple and gold fans.
LeBron wrote on his Twitter after sharing the clip where West said the 'dog' statement: "FACTS!!!! Not 1, like I said! (wolf emoji)." This shows James' love and support for the Lakers legend Jerry West.
After two Summer League games, the Lakers have upgraded one of their new rookies, Maxwell Lewis, with a 4-year contract. Although LeBron James is still the centerpiece of the Los Angeles Lakers, they're gently building for the future simultaneously. Lewis shows on Sunday versus the Charlotte Hornets some of his talents with 12 points on 5-of-9 field-goal shooting while making both of his 3-point attempts.
