The new 'First Take' co-host Shannon Sharpe has started debating with Stephen A. Smith about the GOAT debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James, but this time, Sharpe explains a big difference between the two legends.

Sharpe spoke about how LeBron has had to face more scrutiny than MJ in his career after James' agent and friend Rich Paul stated that the Lakers star is the first player to have to deal with a 24/7 365 news cycle of sports and opinions.

Also, Paul said that LeBron had to be compared to Mike, but in his time, who did Mike have to be compared to? For Shannon, "This ain't about the who's better, this about what LeBron had to go through, because there was no social media when MJ played."

"Michael was going 50 points and they never said Larry would go 56, Magic would give you 80. But LeBron makes a triple-double and the internet says Kobe & Jordan would have 76 points. So that's what he (LeBron) is up against." Said Sharpe, also adding that Jordan in his "Last Dance" documentary said he retired out of mental fatigue and burnout, and that was without what LeBron had to face and endure.

LeBron James is about to start year 21 in the NBA

While Michael Jordan retired a couple of times before doing it for good, LeBron James has continued his career for 20 years straight without stopping. The Lakers star is about to go for his 21st season and wants to win another ring in LA.
