What Magic Johnson said about the Lakers that surprises NBA fans

The Los Angeles Lakers are often considered to be the NBA's America's team, and Magic Johnson being one of the main legends of the franchise knows what he is talking about, as he has offered a bold take that other NBA fans may not concur with.

After the Lakers were able to defeat the LA Clippers, and Johnson was one of the persons who attended the Crypto.com Arena, he spoke on how the Lakers are still on the top of the NBA popularity and showtime isn't gone.

"Going to a Lakers game is still the hottest ticket in the NBA for celebrities, entertainers, athletes, and fans across industries. I took pictures with fans from all over the world who came to watch LeBron and the Lakers at last night. Lakers fans are still the best in all the NBA!"

Johnson also added that LeBron continues to be the biggest draw in the league: "Last night I watched a dominant performance by King LeBron James at Crypto Arena/STAPLES Center (lol). He’s still the number one box office draw in the NBA and didn’t disappoint with a magical 35-point, 12 rebound, and 7 assist performance in Year 21!"

Before the start of the season, one of Magic's bold predictions is that he does believe this time around, GM Rob Pelinka did a great job and the team had enough power to win it all. The roster suffered some changes, but Johnson expects the team to get in full-motion about two months from now.
