The Los Angeles Lakers may suffer a new loss, this time against the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the franchise still got something to celebrate, as one of its superstars achieved an incredible milestone.
LeBron James crossed the 38,000 points scored in the NBA in his career and is now less than 400 points away from breaking the record of the Los Angeles showtime-era legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
This probably doesn't have content with the Lakers showtime era Icon Kareem, as Magic has stated that knowing him, he will be mad with Lebron being the number one now on that record.
Still, knowing that, Magic posted to congratulate LeBron on passing that 38K mark, as he used his official Twitter account to write, “Congratulation to LeBron James for becoming the second player in the history of the NBA to score 38,000 total career points!! I never thought I'd see another NBA player score 38,000 points in my lifetime.”
On several occasions throughout the season, LeBron has said that he isn't thinking about breaking the paper and that his sole focus is on winning the championship with the team. So James only cares about breaking the record if he wins this year's championship alongside the Lakers.
