The Bryant family's privacy was impacted by someone unexpectedly

If there is someone everyone misses, it is Kobe Bryant. No one will ever forget that fateful January 26, 2020. Sadly, he still cannot be laid to rest in peace. A few days ago it was announced that Vanessa Bryant, wife of the late Kobe Bryant, filed a lawsuit over the leaked photos of the helicopter crash where Lakers icon Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant lost their lives about 2 years ago.

Supposedly the county sheriff and firefighters leaked photos of the accident. According to Luis Li, Vanessa Bryant's lawyer, the photos were taken and leaked out of gossip; "They were shared by deputies playing video games. They were shared repeatedly with people who had absolutely no reason to receive them," Li said. As Vanessa couldn't stop crying.

Luis Li also quoted a whistleblower who revealed that Sheriff's Deputy Joey Cruz showed "pictures of  Kobe's decapitated body" to strangers at a bar in Norwalk, Connecticut . On top of that, there is a video showing Deputy Cruz sitting in a restaurant and holding up his cell phone to show something to the waiter who immediately upon seeing what was on his cell phone quickly walked away.

The reality is that a couple of years after one of the biggest tragedies in the NBA world, the case can not be closed as Vanessa would like because there are always opportunistic people who seek to take advantage of complicated situations without trying to be a little empathetic to those affected. The defendants say that these photos are tools for further investigations, however they should not have been leaked.

Vanessa demands millions of dollars

Obviously, all the money in the world will not make Vanessa Bryant feel better. What she would like is to turn back time and prevent both Kobe and Gianna from getting on that helicopter but sadly life is not like that. The only thing left for Vanessa is to make these nefarious characters get what they deserve and learn to respect people's privacy, regardless of whether they are famous or not. The trial is expected to last a few days and Vanessa Bryant expects to receive millions of dollars for the negative impact this has had on her life and that of her family.
