Christmas is one of the most special days of the year; people get together with their families, eat delicious food, open lots of presents and Santa Claus arrives, but the most fun and important thing is that we have NBA games. The NBA Christmas Day is already a classic. The NBA has been scheduling games on Christmas Day since before it was called NBA.
With Santa Claus months away, the NBA has already given us our first Christmas present. According to Marc Stein (NBA correspondent) on December 25, we will have a spectacular game between the Los Angeles Lakers of King LeBron James and Anthony Davis against the amazing Dallas Mavericks of Slovenian Luka Doncic. The truth is that as a fan, not only of any of these teams but of the NBA in general, this is an incredible gift to enjoy even more on such a special date.
The incredible record between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
You won't believe what Draymond Green had to say about these Lakers players.
If you are not an NBA fan you probably only wait for Christmas to eat delicious food and open presents, but for us, NBA fans, this date is very special because we wake up, go downstairs to have breakfast, put on comfortable clothes, and proceed to get in front of the TV for 10 hours because some of the best games of the season are on this date.
The last time the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks met on Christmas day was in the 20-21 season. On that occasion, the win went to the gold and purple team. That game ended with a score of 138-115. A 23-point lead for the Lakers and a 50-point combination of LeBron and Anthony Davis for an easy win. In the end, the 27 points that Luka Doncic scored were not enough. The reality is that back then the Lakers roster was very different and their reality was different as the team had a positive record and we still had players like Kentavious Caldwell Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and Denis Schröder among others.
Sadly our most recent Christmas game was not what we expected because, despite LeBron James' 39 points and Russell Westbrook's triple-double, the Lakers lost to the Brooklyn Nets. At that time James Harden was still a Brooklyn player and he had a game of 36 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds for a triple-double. But we hope this new season we get back on track and win once again against the Dallas Mavericks.
