The Los Angeles Lakers just defeated the Detroit Pistons, but they are still far from being a contending team. With a roster that needs some shooting and better defense, they let go of an experienced veteran that could be the role player that the team needs.

Dwight Howard couldn't find a new NBA team after he became a free agent, and the Lakers didn't offer him an extension; and now he has moved to Taiwan, and so far has been a great adventure for him.

More Lakers news:

Howard is not only away from Los Angeles and all the drama surrounding the team that circles around its superstar LeBron James, but he just gave a fantastic performance in his debut in Taiwan. The new Taoyuan Leopards player scored 38 points, and had 25 rebounds, nine assists, and four blocks.

Carmelo Anthony could also be going to Taiwan

Another former Lakers player could be following Dwight Howard's steps, moving, to Taiwan, and playing over there. Carmelo Anthony has been looking for an opportunity in the NBA, but with nothing happening, he could joined the Howard in Taiwan.
