This offseason will be critical for the Los Angeles Lakers' aspirations for the next campaign, as they believe in having a solid group and want to build on that. Still, with many players hitting free agency this summer, the front office needs to re-sign them first.
It has been reported in different outlets that the top priorities for the team are Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, the number one on the list, the undrafted SG that has been a revelation in the team and the league.
But the purple and gold have convinced first and probably re-sign the other SG, Lonnie Walker. If logic applies, Walker posted three days ago that "Life is good," which has been interpreted as the player signing a new deal with the team that guarantees him more playing time on the court.
Walker was thinking about changing teams as he believes that he deserves more minutes on the court, something the fans agreed, and it was made evident in the past playoffs, especially in Game 4 of the series vs. the Golden State Warriors, where the Lakers were losing in the fourth quarter and an impressive performance by Walker IV saved the night.
According to the Lakers insider Jovan Buha, Reaves will get an offer from the Lakers but will wait to become a free agent to receive more offers so LA can match them.
