The Lakers continue their pursuit of a center to complete their roster for the next season

The days keep passing and the Lakers are still away from finding the center they are looking for. Christian Wood remains at the top of their options but the big player seems to have other plans.

According to the NBA insider Jovan Buha, Christian Wood wants to have a bigger role and is trying to sign with the Miami Heat instead of going for the vet min with the purple and gold to have a backup role to Anthony Davis.

With Wood, out of the picture, the number two option will automatically become the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka's top priority, Bismack Biyombo.

Still, Biyombo isn't the only option Pelinka and Ham are thinking of to fill that spot, as the young rookie that has signed a two-way contract Colin Castleton could get an upgrade standard contract to become that backup center the team is looking for.

Wenyen Gabriel or Tristan Thompson could also return

In case the first three options don't work out for the Lakers, the free agents Wenyen Gabriel or Tristan Thompson could return to the roster, as they are known by coach Ham and have chemistry with the core of the group.
