On the court hasn't been easy for the Los Angeles Lakers sophomore Max Christie, as the offseason coach Darvin Ham had plans to make the young guard part of his team rotation, instead, Max has been playing mostly the famously called "garbage minutes" with LA.

Now, the 20-year-old could be involved in a scandal as recently an IG model has exposed him from putting a "time limit" to being with him, many are beliving this statement that could hurt the young Lakers star.

The 20-year-old Christie is in his second season with the Lakers after he was a second-round pick (No. 35 overall) in the 2022 NBA Draft. The Michigan State University product is averaging 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in eight appearances this season. Last season as a rookie, he averaged 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 41 appearances.

Max got more playing time when the team was reduced to have an 8-man rotation with 40% of their rotation players out due to injuries. Coach Darvin Ham recently called him a Laker's jewel and developed him with time and not rushing things.

Max Christie's playing time with the team has been reduced

Christie played 10 minutes combined in the Lakers’ back-to-back set against the Kings and Memphis Grizzlies after playing a season-high 28 minutes last Wednesday against the Houston Rockets.
