One of the pending tasks the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has in the current offseason is to get another big player that can fit the role of the backup center for Anthony Davis and even a third option behind Jaxson Hayes.

That's the main reason why Christian Wood hasn't accepted the offer made by the Lakers. Wood wants to have a bigger role and he knows that with the purple and gold, he'll have reduced minutes according to NBA insider Jovan Buha.

Christian wants to sign with the Miami Heat to have a bigger role, meanwhile, the fans are losing patience and want the return of one of the bigs that helped in 2020 to win the championship title: Dwight Howard.

The veteran just ended playing in Taiwan and has become a free agent, and while his age doesn't help, his experience can serve to complement the team in a backup role. The fans want Pelinka to give him another opportunity to be the center that once stop Nikola Jokic.

The Lakers fans could also see JaVale McGee make a return to the team

The other big that helped the Lakers on conquering the 17th championship title in franchise history, JaVale McGee, is wanted by the Lakers Nation, as they want some proven veteran that understands the franchise and has experience and chemistry playing alongside AD and LeBron
