The Los Angeles Lakers are having their Summer League debut against the Golden State Warriors right after the No. one pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama, had his debut with the San Antonio Spurs.
The hype was at the highest for the first game of the French sensation with the Spurs, and he was disappointed as Victor didn't look good at all, still in his first game with his new team.
But opposed to what happened to Victor, the new Lakers rookie and No. 17 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft Pick, Jalen Hood-Schifino, is winning over the purple and gold fans.
In the first three-quarters of the game vs. the Warriors, Hood-Schifino scored 7 points and is a good playmaker with great potential. So far, he has a better debut in the Summer League than Wembanyama.
The Lakers head coach Darvin Ham is with the public in tonight's game, and the young PG Max Christie is showing his growth as a player and is looking ready to have a more critical role in his year 2 in the NBA.
