After the Lakers played the Western Conference Finals and lost against the Denver Nuggets, GM Rob Pelinka and Coach Ham decided to bring back the core of the team to keep building chemistry but with some new acquisitions to upgrade the roster.

That's exactly what Pelinka and Ham did in the first days of the free agency market, with the new signings, but while most of the spotlight went to the PG Gabe Vincent and the young promising forward Cam Reddish, there's the most underrated off-season move.

Pelinka stated that they were looking at the signing of Jaxson Hayes as kind of the new version of what Dwight Howard did for the team in the 2020 championship title, but there's another offseason signing that is also kind of 'replacing' the role of a former Laker from the bubble.

Taurean Prince is set to have a similar role to the one that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had in that championship title, becoming the most underrated off-season move that could be paid off big time for the purple and gold.

What Taurean Prince brings to the Lakers team

The Art Of Attacking A Close-Out. Don’t be fooled, Prince is not a one-dimensional 3&D player. He loves putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim on hard close-outs. Surprisingly skilled finisher too. People forget he was a #12 Lotto Pick in 2016.
