A lot has been said about the Los Angeles Lakers No. 17 2023 Draft Pick, as he was out due to an injury for the first 16 games of the season, but he was back in the blowout loss against the Philadelphia 76ers for his NBA debut, and on Wednesday night he got his second performance showing a lot of promise.
Jalen Hood-Schifino was the Lakers' first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft Pick, but wasn't the prospect the fans were hoping for, he didn't have the best Summer League performances and his shooting is supposed to be far from what is expected of a young guard.
Hood-Schifino then got injured and missed several games, only to make his debut at the worst moment possible against the Sixers, but now, that his first performance has passed, he got a new shot against the Detroit Pistons showing his true potential.
In ten minutes of playtime, Jalen Hood-Schifino scored 10 points with 3/4 FG, this kind of performance is what he needed to get confidence and start making a difference.
While Austin Reaves was set to be the third star for the Los Angeles Lakers, D'Angelo Russell has been that player for the group and it has been show this season. Against the Pistons, LeBron James, D'Angelo Russell, and Anthony Davis combined had 88 PTS, 28 REB, and 17 AST.
