One of the remaining priorities for the Lakers is to get a center, but there's one player inside the roster that wants to become the backup, the role Bamba had in LA

The Los Angeles Lakers let go of Mo Bamba, Wenyen Gabriel, and Tristan Thompson. So far, they have just signed Jaxson Hayes, plus Anthony Davis, who keeps playing the central role even when he is more comfortable in his natural position of PF.

But there's one more player that went undrafted, and the team recently signed in a two-way contract and is making his debut tonight with the team as a starter: Colin Castleton.

Castleton is trying to follow the steps of Austin Reaves and earn a spot in the team; at the moment, Colin could become the backup center, the role Mo Bamba had previously.

At the moment, AD remains the starter, with Jaxson Hayles being the 2nd unit C, and Castleton could become the backup if he has a great summer league, as expected. Tonight the LA Lakers are facing the Eastern Conference Champions, the Miami Heat.

The Lakers are excited with the Lakers roster for the Summer League

Since 2017 a Summer League Lakers roster has yet to generate so much hype as this one does with players like Max Christie, Cole Swider, the recently picked Jalen Hood-Schifino, Maxwell Lewis, and Colin Castleton, which is the starting five for tonight.
