In the last few years, the Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling with their 3-point shooting, most of the players that come being tagged as sharpshooters suddenly forget how to shoot when becoming gold and purple players.
Last season the team turned their season around after their early struggles thanks to the moves that GM Rob Pelinka pulled off at the trade deadline.
One of the players that arrived in LA was the shooter Malik Beasley whose inconsistency helped in some games but disappeared in most of them with poor shooting.
Beasley now has become a starter with the Milwaukee Bucks and has improved his shooting shining with his current team. LAKERS VS BUCKS MALIK BEASLEY:
Lakers Bucks
PPG 11.1 — 10.7
RPG 3.3 — 4.2
APG 1.2 — 1.4
STL 0.8 — 0.9
FG% 45.9% — 51.1%
2PT% 48.1%— 58.8%
3PT% 35.3% — 46.6%
FT% 61.9%— 66.6%
eFG% 51.5%— 66.8%
Beasley has improved his shooting, and now the Lakers' latest victim of the shooting "curse" is Taurean Prince, as he promised to shoot this season beyond 40%, he is having a career low with 26.7% from 3. Prince continues to be a starter due to the Lakers' several absences due to injury.
