The last season was a rollercoaster ride in the MVP race, as many talented players were contending to win the prestigious award, but in the end, Joel Embiid took it home and now the Lakers SG Austin Reaves has opened up on who he believes should really have won it.
At one point of the season, the Lakers star Anthony Davis was gaining MVP buzz, then he got injured and it instantly faded away, and at the end of the campaign, the 76ers star got the award even when he didn't live up to the title in the playoffs.
In the Full Send Podcast, Austin Reaves talked about who he truly believes should've won the MVP award, and is not a Lakers player, but the star that swept them in the WCF: Nikola Jokic.
Austin Reaves says Nikola Jokic should've won MVP over Joel Embiid as he said “I think it was just voter’s fatigue.” If Jokic had won, it would've been his third MVP in a row, something the NBA hesitate on doing, at the end, Embiid won the award.
In the FullSend Podcast, Austin Reaves revealed that he hasn't been invited to LeBron James Taco Tuesday and hopes one day gets invited. Anthony Davis has been the only teammate that has been invited by LeBron.
