A lot of young talent was present in Las Vegas for the game between the Los Angeles Lakers against the Minnesota Timberwolves. But, unfortunately, the Lakers gave rest to their most prominent stars, so the opportunity went to the new faces, young players, and their three rookies.

Two rookies to get their sights on, one for each team, are, from the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards, who had a total of 23 minutes. And the Lakers' talented Cole Swider had two more minutes on the floor for a total of 25.

More Lakers news:

Swider scored four out of sixteen Field Goal attempts, which was low for him, and scored only 3 out of eleven 3-point shots attempts, again, low for him. But Swider scored six out of six free throws and had three offensive rebounds, two defensive rebounds, and two assists. In the end, Cole scored a total of 17 points.

Cole's Timberwolves counterpart Anthony Edwards scored 5 out of 12 FG attempts, one out of three 3pointers attempts, and two out of two free throws. Edwards' performance had zero offensive rebounds, six defensive rebounds, two assists, and a total of 13 points.

The Lakers rookie was better overall despite not having his best night

Cole Swider is one of the rookie talents playing his first NBA year and hopes to establish himself as one of the best young 3-point shooters out there. While Swider had a fantastic first preseason game, the next two haven't been his best, but he still has shown a lot of potential, and with the experience he is gaining, he could soon shine bright.
