By James Brown
The Los Angeles Lakers are a couple of players away from becoming contenders. They showed earlier this week that even without LeBron James and Anthony Davis, they could win games as they defeated the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
DeMarcus Cousins is something the purple and gold fans have been waiting for a long time, and while, at the moment is only for workouts, Sterling Brown is the other name that will be trying to earn a spot on the team.
So these movements will be a welcome back, but with the team only having one spot available, some trades or waives are coming soon too, and two names are the ones that can be released.
Kendrick Nunn and Damian Jones have been losing minutes, and to make things worst for Jones, he is injured, so he could be released as he hasn't been able to become vital for coach Ham's team.
It was looking for JTA to be a candidate to be waived by the team, but since his return, he has proved his value to Ham, and with LeBron's absence, he started against Miami, and while he only scored two points, his defensive game has earned him the praise of his coach.
