The Los Angeles Lakers locker room was broken because of Russell Westbrook's attitude; the once superstar saw his stardom power fade away after playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Something similar happened to the Brazilian soccer superstar Neymar Jr. who was the main star for the French club PSG until Mbappe and Messi arrived on the team. He started behind both superstars, and his attitude began to generate problems in the locker room.
In the case of the now former Lakers player, Westbrook, no team wanted him because he was no longer the superstar he was; his performances left a lot to be desired. His astronomical 47 million salaries is something other than what any NBA franchise can pay. Russ has now shown he isn't a star that can lead a team to win a championship, even with other superstars like Lebron and AD.
Westbrook has now been traded from the Lakers after a feud with the coaching staff, first with Assistant Coach Phil Handy and then with Head Coach Darvin Ham. Russ' relationship with LeBron was already broken since the previous season, and a couple of games ago, they gave an awkward hug that foreshadowed his now trade. Instead, Los Angeles got more players that improved the roster. The PSG is thinking of doing something similar to Neymar Jr.
Both athletes were supposed to be the following big things in their sports, the face of them. Neymar was supposed to be the best player in the world after Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but that hasn't and won't happen. Westbrook was also set to become a great player and the face of the NBA, but after his MVP season, he has been different.
