The former Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard, who helped the team get the 17th championship title in franchise history in the 2020 bubble, has been trending, not because he has finally found a new NBA team to play with, but because he has been sued for sexual assault.
Howard has stated it was consensual as he is denying the sexual assault to a man at a Georgia home. Because of that, many NBA fans have been debating online, and the former Lakers center has taken his time to respond.
Loyal to his personality, not caring that he is getting sued by the sexual assault claims, Howard posted a short video showing him writing a lot on his PC and worried with the caption: "How they want me to respond to the haters online."
This clip shows that he doesn't care what the people think of him. But these claims will probably separate him from the court for good. In the offseason the worked out for the Golden State Warriors twice but wasn't picked up.
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, on his Fanduel show, talked about Dwight Howard, Smith believes that NBA teams could be passing on signing Dwight because of his pending lawsuit.
