Reports have the Lakers wanting to sign Zach LaVine, this is where LA is regarding the possible trade

Despite the initial struggles that had the team thinking about making a trade with the Chicago Bulls for a potential one or more of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and/or Alex Caruso.

Once the team started to recover most of their players, with the only exception of point guard Gabe Vincent who is still a couple of weeks away from making a comeback, the team has improved in all areas, and the front office could be wanting to wait before making any trades at the moment.

With information via Zach Lowe, the Lakers are “wary” of acquiring [Zach] LaVine to raise the ceiling for the offense because it would come at the expense of their defense and long-term salary cap.

The Lakers also want to really see what they have on their roster before engaging in trade talks. This isn't strange as the team wants to see how the roster they built in the offseason actually fares, at they haven't been complete in the first 23 games of the campaign, still, they are currently in the 5th seed in the West Conference and tonight will be playing to win the first In-Season Tournament in the final game against the Indiana Pacers.
