LeBron James just appeared in the Sports Illustrated cover alongside his two sons, Bronny and Bryce, as they are now called ‘The Chosen Ones’. The ‘King’ went on to say once again that he wants to play long enough so that he can be at least one year with his two sons in the NBA. Despite this being a great sentiment, it might not be what the all-star player should be focusing on, with the start of the season so close.
According to NBA analyst Rob Parker, the Lakers should be worried that LeBron James' focus is elsewhere. “If I was a Lakers fan or the Lakers organization, I wish that he was focused on something else,” explained Parker in the ‘The Odd Couple’ podcast.

“But if I’m the Lakers I don’t want to be a sideshow. It’s not about winning, it’s just so that you can pacify yourself and make you feel good about you and your kids and that’s fine, but that’s not where I want your focus to be,” continued the analyst.
Rob Parker concluded by explaining that LeBron is still the Lakers' best player, but it seems he's with the team not to win, but to play in the NBA until his sons enter the league. “ But to keep banging this drum about hanging on as long as you can so that you can play with your sons and all that it just doesn't sound like a guy who should be more focus on trying to win as much as you can.”
LeBron James will be entering the upcoming season with a two-year extension. So far, the team that the Lakers have, doesn't look competitive enough to compete for the championship. It seems that James hopes for this season is to break the all-time scoring record.
