The Los Angeles Lakers have had a successful free agency market so far, thanks to the movements made by GM Rob Pelinka and coach Darvin Ham.
The team has guaranteed the return of their core for the next season, plus some upgrades in specific positions, but one of the most important is the central role that Anthony Davis had most of the last season, and the team wants another size player to help the Lakers star in that role.
Pelinka signed the young talent Jaxson Hayles and has the undrafted rookie Cole Castleton but has in their target the experienced Christian Wood, but only to sign him with the vet minimum.
Because of that, and still being available, Mo Bamba and Tristan Thompson are looking for another opportunity in the Lakers roster to play a second season with the team.
The Lakers are betting on the undrafted young talent, but they signed him in a two-way contract, Colin Castleton, to repeat the formula that worked on them with Austin Reaves. Castleton was one of the best players on the court in their debut vs. the Miami Heat, just behind Max Christie.
