The LA Sparks had their first preseason game with a renewed roster yesterday. The game started with the starting five Jordin Canada, Lexie Brown, Layshia Clarendon, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike.
The game started well for the Sparks, who got the lead in the first half by ten points, ending with a score of 48-38. The Ogwumike shined and were the best players for LA.
Los Angeles dominated most of the game and got the win at home against the Phoenix Mercury, their same opponent for the May 19th season opener that will be hosted at the Crypto.com Arena.
The LA Sparks won the preseason game and are ready for the regular season. LA defeated the Phoenix Mercury 90-71. The Sparks rookie Zia Cooke scored 12 points and became the best player on the team even when he came off the bench.
